CHWC’s approach to housing is twofold – build new homes and rehab existing homes to revive neighborhoods. Both strategies have been successful with more than 127 houses sold to new homeowners since CHWC’s inception in 1988. CHWC has provided critical homeownership assistance and lending services to low-to-moderate income families with approximately 55% of CHWC’s homes sold to families below 80% of median income.
