CHWC will celebrate NeighborWorks week this year in partnership with Lowe’s and Ameriprise Financial. Free home maintenance and financial planning workshops will be offered at CHWC offices – 2 South 14th Street, Kansas City, KS 66102 from 6 p.m. – 7: 30 p.m. starting Monday, June 9.

All workshops are free and open to the public! Workshop schedule is as follows:

Monday, June 9 – Lowe’s presents - Flooring; tiling and laminate installation
Tuesday, June 10 – Lowe’s presents – Painting techniques, dos and don’ts.
Wednesday, June 11 – Ameriprise Financial presents – Financial planning – home equity lines.

CHWC is a chartered member of the national organization known as NeighborWorks America, an organization established by Congress to strengthen and stabilize neighborhoods throughout the country.  As a chartered member, CHWC was selected as the community development partner for the national organization in Kansas City, Kansas. 

Each year NeighborWorks America celebrates NeighborWorks Week. Participating communities hold celebrations, neighborhood clean up activities, home building events and other activities that will strengthen the neighborhoods with engaged homeowners. CHWC celebrates NeighborWorks Week each year with many different activities.  Join us next June for more NeighborWorks Week fun!
